Salary: Level 3, $1,189.30 - $1,203.90 per week (pro-rata) (GS (Misc.) GA 2023)This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAPAvonvale Primary School (PS) is a small community-based school committed to providing enriched learning opportunities for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. We focus on developing a sense of belonging for every student and fostering classroom cultures that reflect a community of peers working together to achieve collective outcomes.The Cleaner In Charge is responsible for opening and closing the school, performing internal cleaning duties (including maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal), and other general cleaning tasks. They will also carry out external cleaning duties, such as cleaning verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning drinking troughs, window cleaning, and removal of cobwebs.Additionally, they will complete vacation cleaning duties, including stripping and sealing vinyl floors, window cleaning, shampooing carpets, pressure cleaning verandas and undercover areas, and other required tasks.The successful applicant will ideally have experience in supervising staff, as they will work alongside school staff and manage performance in consultation with the Manager Corporate Services.
