Our training is delivered to students and apprentices on-site, online, in the workplace, or on-campus to give people the skills they need to enrich their communities, support their industries, and strengthen their local economies.As a TAFE Teacher or Tutor, your responsibility will be to support quality learning for students who are interested in pursuing a career in Foundation and Language Skills industries. This will involve creating and delivering training programs, evaluating student performance, and providing effective feedback and guidance to support and improve the student experience.The RoleAs an Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) / Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Teacher or Tutor at TAFE Queensland, you will contribute to developing and delivering quality learning, teaching, and assessment to a wide range of clients through:Outcome focused vocational education and training (VET) programs;Linking with industry, schools, universities, community, other TAFE and VET providers;Maintaining currency with industry practices, workplace delivery, and contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies;Working in an environment of ongoing change and continuous improvement.Mandatory Qualifications/RequirementsTeacher - Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP)Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed;o An undergraduate degree of at least three years duration awarded by an Australian university or tertiary institution, or its onshore or overseas equivalent; ando A recognised specialist post-graduate TESOL qualification (with supervised teaching practicum of 60 hours with a minimum of 25 hours supervised teaching); ando At least 100 hours teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or Adult Literacy/Numeracy in the last three years;Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:o TAE 40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;o TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;o TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;o TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;o TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, or its successor;o TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development;o TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor;o Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland);o Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;o Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;o Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning, and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.How to applyIf youre interested in this role, please use the Apply button to progress to the TAFE Queensland Recruitment Portal.
