A great opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to join our Property Services Team on a full-time basis!About the Royal Sydney Golf ClubThe Royal Sydney Golf Club, a private members club, is fortunate to be considered one of Australias most prominent social and sporting institutions, having proudly hosted a number of world class sporting events including the Australian Open on 15 occasions and the 2011 Davis Cup.While upholding the important traditions of the Club, we welcome positive, passionate people into our greater team and we strive to give opportunities for personal and professional development in a supportive environment.The RoleYou will be a senior member of the close-knit Property Services team, reporting to the Property Services Manager. You will carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks throughout the Clubhouse and outbuildings to ensure that equipment is maintained in good working order. You will need to be professionally presented, articulate yourself well, think outside the box, capable of problem solving, have the ability to manage and prioritise tasks, great work ethic and above all a positive attitude at all times! You will be expected to manage others in the team on direction. You will have very high standards as your work will be on show, with most work being completed in a live environment.Responsibilities include:Working with the Co-ordinator for the procurement of materials and spare parts for scheduled works and ad hoc repairs for the team.Working with others in the team, and helping with your skill and technical knowledge.Undertake building maintenance tasks as necessary and in a timely manner. Such tasks may be routine or planned and/or reactive.Ensure maintenance work undertaken is compliant and WHS appropriate.Carry out maintenance and handyman duties, in the main Clubhouse and associated outbuildings including Turfcare Facilities, Fitness Pavilion and Fitness Centre with swimming pools.Working as a part of a team, carry out painting, carpentry and gyprock repairs, basic electrical work (light globes), basic plumbing (washers/toilets).Required to work at heights (ladders/roof).Maintain accurate records of repair work.Skills and Experience Required10 years experience working in the trade industry.Experienced with painting, basic plumbing, basic electrical and carpentry.Trade background, with a builder or carpenter qualification.Expertise with both power tools and hand tools.Experienced in working at heights and using ladders and on roofs.Demonstrated high-level organisational and time management skills, with ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Mid-level Computer Skills are required as the role involves our asset management system MEX.Must be able to work Monday to Friday 7am-3pm (with occasional weekend work).Full working rights in Australia.Work with Us!Ample opportunities for growth & development including 24/7 access to an extensive learning platform.Staff wellbeing program including free exercise classes for staff in our state-of-the-art fitness facilities, golf lessons, tennis clinics and access to our Employee Assistance Program.Daily staff meals.Uniforms provided plus uniform allowance.20% discount on purchases (e.g. wine and sporting goods from our retail store).15% discount on TFE hotel or apartment bookings across Australia, New Zealand and Europe.Great salary package including 17.5% loading on Annual Leave and Special Recreation Leave and year-end bonus.Additional Special Recreation Leave of 3 days per year.Paid Parental Leave benefits.All day free street parking available.We foster an environment of belonging, celebrate diversity at the Club and make hiring decisions based on experience, skill and passion.
