We are looking for candidates living and working in the New England (Tamworth, Armidale, Moree) and Lower Mid North Coast (Forster, Taree) regions. The VMO positions will travel where required across rural and regional HNELHD to support people who wish to access VAD. Applicants will have completed or be prepared to undertake the training required to perform the roles of a coordinating, consulting and administering practitioner as outlined in the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Act.Essential RequirementsA primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and fellowshipDemonstrated current experience in the complex services that impact on multiple departments and stakeholdersHigh level skills and involvement in clinical care, supervision, mentoring and teachingCurrent drivers licenseKey AccountabilitiesProviding high quality, evidence based, patient focussed management and care to admitted and non-admitted patients, families and carers who have requested or are undertaking Voluntary Assisted DyingAct in the roles of Coordinating, Consulting and Administering practitioner as outlined in the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2022 with reasonable and regular travel within HNELHD to provide services to people requesting voluntary assisted dyingContribute to effective clinical management for the patient throughout their care journeyWhat We Can Offer YouHunter New England Local Health District is a great place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge.
