Talent Right has partnered exclusively with TechSpan for the appointment of a Site Project Manager based onsite in Townsville for the duration of a large-scale commercial build commencing Mid-March with estimated completion September 2025.This role is a fixed term 7+ month contract with potential for future projects creating a possible long-term position with the organisation. We are open to expressions of interest from both ABN Contractors and those wishing to engage on a PAYE basis. Rates are flexible depending on the type of contract and level of experience.The Company:TechSpan designs and constructs large steel buildings for diverse applications, supporting clients from initial design to installation. Known for innovation and excellence, the companys expertise includes structural steel, cladding, concrete panels, and slab and footing construction.The Project:This particular project is located in Townsville, QLD and is a large-scale commercial building thats end use is for pilot and demonstration scale trials of processing methods and technologies for critical minerals and rare earth elements.TechSpan is responsible for the initial foundations, structural concrete walls, steel framing, and cladding. You will be the eyes and ears on the ground and a liaison officer between the client Project Manager, subcontractors and the TechSpan Construction Manager based at Head Office in Armidale, NSW.The Role:You will be focused on the contractual, specification and program requirements of the project so must be experienced in contract management and the day-to-day handling of project related issues.You will be adept in problem solving and resolving site issues as you will be the mediation between the client, TechSpan and subcontractors, representing TechSpan interests and keeping all parties compliant to the contract.This role requires good negotiation and communication skills, ensuring positive, productive working relationships with site management and the wider workforce.You will communicate daily with Head Office, keeping progress reports accurate and up to date, ensuring quality requirements onsite are adhered to and that subcontractors are compliant with site and WHS rules.You will ensure that building materials are scheduled appropriately and delivered to site in a timely manner, keeping the project on schedule in conjunction with the production team at Head Office.The ideal candidate for this role will have meticulous attention to detail, with strong multitasking, communication, pre-planning and problem-solving skills.With experience working in fast-paced site environments you will be able to demonstrate your ability in managing priorities effectively while building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.Key Skills Required:Sound understanding of Civil and Industrial construction projects, processes and materials.Practical experience in commercial site management or project management.Ability to interpret project contracts, drawings, specifications and schedules.Experience in being a primary/solo site management representative for long periods.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.A proactive approach to problem-solving, solutions focused attitude.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and exposure to Aconex, Tekla Design Construction Management Software preferred.Whats on Offer:Competitive salary package or ABN contractor rates.Long term contract with potential for future work.Fully autonomous role with a supportive Head Office team.How to Apply:If you would like to express your interest in this upcoming project please apply via this link or email emily.w@talentright.com.au to arrange a confidential discussion. #J-18808-Ljbffr
