Unleash your potential and #MakeADifference!The Mineral Assessment Hub has offices located across the State, including offices in Townsville, Mareeba and Brisbane. Whilst working in the Hub, you will be required to take a leading role within your team to manage workloads, deliver key projects and manage a team to ensure the facilitation of sustainable exploration and mining related development across the State.You will be required to undertake assessment of resource authority applications, by providing advice about exploration and mining developments, by liaising with clients and stakeholders in government, the community and by liaising with regional exploration and mining industry operators to support the Hub.About UsWork in an inclusive work culture while making an impactful difference for all Queenslanders. We strengthen regional and rural economies by supporting job creation, diversification, and infrastructure development, collaborating closely with local communities to address their unique needs.About The RoleIn this role you will:Manage the tenures administration process for the Mineral Hub in accordance with legislation and departmental policies and procedures including:The processing and assessment of resource authorities;The provision of advice in relation to the legislation surrounding resource authorities.Provide clear leadership, direction and supervision for staff on operational management issues, including financial and human resource matters, as required.Provide advice in relation to formulating departmental strategies, operational policies and legislation relating to tenures administration of Queensland''s resources to a broad range of clients and stakeholders.Represent the department in conferences, seminars and education initiatives and other industry consumer forums.Contribute to the formulation and revision of legislation, policies and procedures relevant to mining, exploration and development of mining permits.Maintain a high level of legislative knowledge relevant to the administration of mining permits and land access to provide accurate advice to team members, senior management, external stakeholders and clients.Contribute to the development and implementation of effective and uniform practices, procedures and policies relating to the assessment of resource authority applications within the State.Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, clients, industry and other government departments.Other duties as directed and required.What We''re Looking ForExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.The ability to manage multiple complex projects and business processes.Ability to lead and supervise a geographically dispersed, multi-disciplinary team.Why join us?We are committed to being a workplace that focusses on people.
