We pride ourselves on being big enough to manage, yet small enough to care!Job DescriptionThe High Lift Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of Stars Ground Service Equipment (GSE), as well as a wide variety of duties, including but not limited to driving of trucks, vehicle maintenance and assisting with cabin cleaning and linen/stock deliveries.Service DeliveryPrepare and manoeuvre the vehicle for airside use, marshalling the truck alongside the aircraft, driving of hi-lift trucksLoading and unloading of stock and assisting with the delivery and transport of linen on and off the truck when attached to the aircraftSorting of items allocated to the truck (for collection and/or delivery)Conduct regular checks on the vehicle for compliance and refuelling of vehiclesMaintain procedures and practices which contribute to the safety of airside traffic and operationsDeliver Cabin Cleaning services on behalf of Star Aviation customers in accordance with the airline procedures under the direction of Team Leader/s, ensuring compliance and safety regulations are met to the highest standards at all timesRepresent both the Airline and Star to the highest level ensuring customer satisfactionWork either alone or as part of a teamActively participate in undertaking duties in a safe, professional mannerEnsure at all times you act in accordance with Star Aviation guidelines and appropriate and professional standardsReport all incidents as per proceduresOther reasonable duties as directedCollection of Deliveries, Linen and/or StockCarry out collections and deliveries of off/on airport with suppliers as directed by your ManagerEnsure to collect deliveries in a safe and timely mannerReconcile and ensure deliveries collected are accurate and if there are any discrepancies, you must immediately notify your Manager.Management of GSEEnsure the safe and secure operation of all equipmentReport equipment malfunction to your Manager as per procedureWhere qualified, operate Ground Service equipment (GSE) in accordance with correct proceduresDesired Skills and ExperienceA valid provisional or full driver licence.A Medium Ridge Licence or Heavy Ridge LicenceWorking rights in AustraliaFull availability to work a rotating rosterA valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), or the ability to successfully obtain one.A valid authority to Drive Airside Card (ADA), or the ability to successfully obtain one.SkillsCompetent in the operational requirements of High Lift Truck DrivingCompetent in the operational requirements of Aircraft DoorsCompetent in the operational requirements of Cabin CleaningUnderstanding of the Aviation IndustryExcellent organisation and time management skillsWorking in a high-pressure environment and to strict timelinesCustomer focus to deliver exceptional serviceAbility to adapt to changing priorities and situationsAble to work well in a fast-paced team environmentAwareness of EEO, Anti-Discrimination and Harassment legislationHealth and Safety TrainingCapable of Incident Report writing, in plain and clear English #J-18808-Ljbffr
