Geoquest is currently seeking to recruit qualified and experienced Carpenters to join in Hornsby NSW 2077.Report to the Precast Manager.ResponsibilitiesInterpret drawings and specifications to establish installation procedures and materials requiredGeneral carpentry including cutting, assembling, joining timber and concrete formworkErecting, propping and securing formworkRe-sheeting timber moulding and formworkFollow all code requirements for Australian building standardsSupervise, teach and direct apprentice carpentersSelect and evaluate materials for defectsLiaise with team members, trades, and suppliersLiaise with project managerParticipate in workplace training programs as requiredLead the Quality and Safety culture in the yard along with feedback to the factoryParticipate in setting up new projects: mould assembly and formworkEstablish production forecast with Precast Manager and project teamProduction delivery plan liaise with Planning/Precast ManagerSkills And AbilitiesHigh level of competency in measuring, cutting and installing frames and structuresProficient in the safe use of hand and power tools with measuring instrumentsBasic maths and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detailInspiring leadershipIn-depth understanding of fabrication drawingsUnderstanding of specifications and tolerancesOrganizational skillsTeam player with a collaborative attitudeQualificationsCertificate III in Carpentry or equivalentWork ExperienceIdeally have a minimum of 3 years experienceSalary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience.Several Full-time Positions available.Applications open 14th February of 2025 and close on 14th March of 2025.If you are interested in this role, APPLY now.
