Full time, fixed term role for up to 12 monthsBe valued for your exceptional knowledge in finance to provide analytical insights to stakeholdersBase Salary $108,557 + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunityThe Financial Services team is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven Associate Finance Manager to join their high performing team. In your new role, you will coordinate and deliver tailored financial services, monitoring and improving financial processes, and offering analytical insights to assist decision-making. You will also provide guidance on financial management and contribute to the development and enhancement of finance related policies and procedures.Your key responsibilities will be to:Collaborate with planning and operational committees to support and advise on financial matters for designated client groups.Coordinate and deliver financial services tailored to the needs of designated client groups, ensuring alignment with university policies and procedures.Monitor and improve financial processes and services for designated client groups, contributing to efficiency and effectiveness.Provide analytical support for decision-making within designated client groups, addressing financial capability and performance.Provide advice, guidance, and training on financial management, including compliance with relevant protocols and standards.Contribute knowledge and expertise towards a range of processes, such as development and review of finance related policy and procedure, financial management initiatives and changes to practice.Foster open communication and collaboration within the team, addressing stakeholder queries and concerns in a timely manner, while building trust within immediate work networks.Ensure the team consistently meets reporting standards, stays compliant with regulations, while always reflecting accurate data from university systems.Monitor and assess risk within the work area, drive initiatives to promote best practices in workplace health and safety and provide guidance to team members on adhering to university''s health and safety policies.About youStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement, along with the ability to prioritise workload during busy periods.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills, including effective management of stakeholder relationships, commitment to ensure service excellence.Demonstrated experience in prioritising your own and your team workload to meet competing and ad hoc demands.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaPlease note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
