This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced nurse to step up and build your clinical leadership skillset. The responsibility of this role is to support the team to streamline the admission of the patient through DOSA to the operating Theatre. The role will hold the title of DFO DOSA Flow Coordinator.This direct leadership role will see you leading and supporting our front-line team members and reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager. You will be joining a team of passionate professionals driven to provide safe, holistic nursing care to each individual patient to achieve optimal patient outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Prioritise patients and their admissions and ensure a positive perioperative customer experience.Ensure all patients are prepared for surgery in required times.Liaise with VMOs, Theatre Floor Coordinator and other key stakeholders.Act as a professional resource and demonstrate broad knowledge in all facets of caring for patients to ensure the highest levels of nursing care.Supervise and support all staff within the unit to ensure efficient flow of patients from admissions through holding bay and into theatre.Participate in Quality Improvement Programs in line with organisational and departmental strategic plans.Your Skills and ExperienceYou will be a trained nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:Current registration with AHPRA.Minimum three (3) years post-graduate experience as a Registered Nurse working in the Perioperative department is essential.Proven ability to work effectively in a healthcare team, and positively influence the performance of other staff.This position requires someone with flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment over a 7-day rotating roster.RemunerationA base hourly rate ranging from $54.72 - $58.82 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
