Add expected salary to your profile for insightsAt ECCQ, we take our responsibility to ensure our clients and residents endure no harm very seriously and work hard to achieve this within our services and workplaces.Objective: To maintain the aged care residence buildings, plant & equipment and other structures to the highest standards of repair, presentation and hygiene and within allocated budgets.Role: Responsible for the overall maintenance standards required at the facility, including:Meeting agreed deadlines.Quality of workmanship.Efficient and effective completion of work tasks.Ensure reliable, ongoing operation of plant and equipment and maintenance of buildings.Coordination of Contractors.Asset management expertise.Successful delivery of the preventative and corrective maintenance program.Ensuring a safe workplace in accordance with the Workplace Health & Safety Act.Will be responsible for WHS on site.Fire Safety Supervisor.Will be technology skilled to support security and other systems.You will be instrumental in maintenance contractor review, recruitment/ procurement of gardening services as we transition into and commission our state of the art facility in Indooroopilly, QLD.Tasks & Responsibilities - Main DutiesCheck the reactive maintenance logs regularly, prioritize tasks according to importance taking into account issues such as safety, general maintenance, improvements, resident or facility user impact.Ensure that all works are carried out to the agreed timeframes and budgets.Responsible for the development of a proactive planned maintenance schedule to minimize reactive activity.Undertake planned maintenance tasks as per the specified timeframes and ensure accurate records are maintained.Ensure that all maintainable assets are appropriately numbered and that any maintenance undertaken is recorded within a central system.Supervise all work undertaken by outside contractors.Ensure all plant and equipment is operating efficiently and safely.Comply with requirements of Record of Attendance/Purchase Order system.Report or rectify any potentially hazardous situation.Maintain accurate plans of all essential services.Maintenance and support for technology housed on site.Comply with Aged Care Accreditation Standards.Perform Risk assessments as required.ExperienceMinimum of three (3) years experience proactively managing staff, together with a solid and broad understanding of facilities/building maintenance.Previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in aged care/retirement living.An ability to manage complex maintenance tasks.Qualifications:Awareness and the ability to embed WH&S practices and procedures.Strong knowledge of most trades and services (including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry and fire services).Fire safety supervisor (or ability to obtain).WHS Representative training (or ability to obtain).Your application will include the following questions:Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of the residential aged care accreditation standards?How many years'' experience do you have as a maintenance officer?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S/WHS?How much notice are you required to give your current employer?What''s your expected hourly rate? #J-18808-Ljbffr
