The team carryout high-quality maintenance and repair of all HME and light vehicles including scheduled maintenance and servicing. Due to continual growth within the business, we are looking for Diesel Mechanics, or Light Vehicle Mechanics (ANZSCO 321212) looking to upskill, to join the Maintenance team on a permanent basisESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIESdiagnostic and repairs of mechanical and electrical faults in engines and componentsremoval and repairs to engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and inspection of partsRemoval and replacement of worn and defective components and reassembling mechanical components, with referring to OME workshop manuals as neededperforming scheduled maintenance services, fluid and filter changes, mechanical inspections and engine tune-ups, to achieve efficient running of vehicles and ensure compliance with emission regulationstesting and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performancediagnosing and testing procedures with the assistance of Scan toolsAble to inspect vehicles and confirm the vehicle is roadworthy and report detail work required to achieve roadworthinessAble to respond to HME breakdown service callsQUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | CAPABILITIESCert III in the Heavy diesel mechanical trade or light vehicle Trade.Committed to working safety, assessing risk and putting appropriate controls in placeExperience working on and servicing on highway trucks/trailers & heavy plant and equipment.Knowledge and experience in hydraulics and pneumatics preferredProven experience in breakdown repairs to transport equipmentElectrical system diagnoses and repairsStrong communication skills with the ability to work without direct supervision.Willing to undertake pre-employment functional assessment and drug and alcohol testingCurrent & valid Drivers licenceWE OFFERRetention bonus 5% @ 6 months and 5% @ 12 months of initial serviceFull-time stable employment, with an attractive hourly rate + super + penalty rates, with the opportunity for overtime and afternoon shiftsOpportunity to work in a busy, highly successful team with a long-term career pathOngoing training and support with genuine career development opportunitiesModern, well equipped workshop facilities and specialist toolsField Service work opportunities for the right applicantOwn basic tools (specialist tools are provided)Afternoon shift opportunities available to the right applicantAPPLY NOWTo be considered for this position click APPLY now.
