Early Childhood Educator (Diploma) - Valley Children''s CentreThe Derwent Valley Council area is just 30 minutes from Hobart and is characterised by historic townships, productive agriculture, picturesque rural landscapes, and spectacular world heritage wilderness areas.Derwent Valley Council is responsible for a wide range of infrastructure and community services that support the well-being and prosperity of our diverse community.This position is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality early childhood educational programs at Councils Valley Childrens Centre.We are seeking talented and motivated Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educators to join our team based in New Norfolk.To be successful, you will have:AQF Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.Demonstrated understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and My Time Our Place (MTOP).Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of early childhood learning and development.Demonstrated administrative skills relevant to the role, including report-writing and planning.Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative team environment to ensure high-quality service.Excellent communication skills with a variety of stakeholders.Current Working with Vulnerable People check valid for paid employment.Current National Police Check.Current first-aid certification, including first aid, anaphylaxis management and emergency asthma management.Current Food Safety Certificate.Derwent Valley Council is committed to attracting and retaining a diverse workforce.
