Anzac Day 2025 Refreshment Tent Support Volunteer 12:00pm - 2:30pmElizabeth St, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia Req #12186Wednesday, 12 February 2025One-off opportunityFriday, 25th of April 2025Location: Hyde Park, Sydney at end of Anzac ParadeMorning Shift: 12:00pm 2:30pmThe ProgramVolunteers support our Returned and Services personnel and their families through the provision of a free refreshment service available in Hyde Park upon the completion of the Anzac Day commemoration marches.The OpportunityThere is an opportunity to support and talk with members of our Returned and Services personnel and their families as tea, coffee, and Anzac biscuits are served at the conclusion of the Anzac Day commemoration marches in Hyde Park. Responsibilities include:Set up equipment and supplies to make tea/coffee for those using the refreshment centreServe tea/coffee to the publicPack up all equipment and supplies at the end of the event, ensuring that all rubbish is moved to the designated area for council removalAct as a representative for Red CrossWhat do I need to bring?Wear closed-in, comfortable shoesWear comfortable clothing (keep in mind it may get dirty)We recommend bringing a water bottle to limit single-use plasticGloves and hand sanitiser will be provided, or you can bring your ownThe ImpactRed Cross has been providing this free service for many years, with feedback on how appreciative people are to have a quiet place to sit, enjoy a cup of tea, and catch up with their mates during this important commemoration.Further InformationTo find out more about this opportunity, please contact Maria Muente on 0418 467 237.Thank you for considering volunteering at Red Cross.Red Cross strives to create a safe and inclusive culture with wellbeing at its centre.
