It is one of the states largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 360 km of proposed new transmission lines, and new or upgraded infrastructure at three locations.HumeLink will provide a crucial hub for the flow of electricity in the National Electricity Market (NEM). The project will enable high volume energy transfer around the NEM improving access to affordable electricity and light up homes, businesses and communities.The OpportunityAs an Equipment Engineer you will be responsible for providing specialised expertise on high-voltage equipment within Transgrids Major Projects Division, with a primary focus on the HumeLink Project. You have the opportunity to work on transformers, shunt reactors, and other critical electrical plant equipment to help contribute to a cleaner energy future.You will be involved in developing, coordinating, and implementing testing plans and technical standards, ensuring compliance with project-specific technical requirements and industry standards, and supporting defect investigation and resolution.You will be based in Ultimo with international travel and site visit requirements to our project offices (Tumut, Yass, Goulburn, and Wagga Wagga) once/twice per month for a few days at a time (therefore overnight stays are essential).
