As part of a diverse team of more than 400 employees, you will contribute to a thriving organisation making a significant impact across the community and beyond.About the OpportunityThe City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is looking for a full-time Supervisor Turf Management based in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, WA.This role is responsible for supervising the maintenance of 52 hectares of active and passive turf areas, ensuring high standards of presentation and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Coordinator Parks & Open Spaces, you will manage a skilled team and oversee daily turf operations in line with the Citys objectives.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Managing and aligning turf operations to meet the Citys objectivesSupervising, training, and scheduling the Turf Operations team to optimise performanceOverseeing water resource use in collaboration with irrigation teams to ensure sustainable turf maintenanceMonitoring expenditure against the approved budget and providing monthly variance reportsConducting audits of facilities, identifying hazards, and maintaining safe and visually appealing spacesAssisting with the preparation of the annual budget and the Citys Annual Works ProgramAbout YouTo qualify, you will need a Certificate IV in Sports Turf Management and/or demonstrated knowledge and a Supervisory Certificate (or similar qualification). Demonstrated experience in turf management will also be essential.Additionally, you must have:Current Construction Safety Awareness Card (Blue/White Card)Valid WA C and HR class drivers licencesCurrent satisfactory National Police ClearanceThe following skills and background will be highly valued:Current First Aid CertificateProven leadership experience managing turf maintenance within a large-scale facility or council environmentStrong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills to collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external partnersExperience in budget management and resource allocationKnowledge of sustainable and efficient water management practicesAs our ideal candidate, you will possess exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships across teams and stakeholders.
