JOB DESCRIPTIONAre you a dynamic and passionate event professional eager to inspire the next generation of event planners?We''re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trainer & Assessor to deliver our Certificate III in Events to a small, focused cohort of up to 7-10 innovative teens each in Nambour (Wednesdays) and Gympie (Fridays) with the potential to possibly have a third cohort in Noosa later in the year.This intimate learning environment provides a unique opportunity to empower young people with the skills and knowledge to thrive in the exciting world of event planning. We are looking for someone excited by the prospect of growth as we aim to expand and introduce more cohorts in the future.About the Role:As Trainer & Assessor, you will deliver engaging and informative training sessions and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to support their learning and development. With small class sizes, you''ll have the chance to provide personalised attention and support to each student. We believe in hands-on learning, so students will gain real-world experience by working on live events with local businesses. You will guide and support them through this process, connecting classroom learning with practical application.Key Responsibilities:Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions covering all aspects of Certificate III in Events curriculum.Assess student work, providing timely and detailed feedback to support their learning and development. The small class size allows for more individualised feedback.Liaise with local businesses to secure student event placements and ensure a valuable learning experience.Mentor and coach students throughout their event planning projects.Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments.Collaborate with the training team to ensure high-quality program delivery.Promote the program within the community, including marketing activities to attract new students.Formal Qualification: A current TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) is essential.Events Expertise: Hold a Certificate III in Events (or higher) or demonstrate significant industry experience in event planning, with current knowledge of industry trends and best practices.Youth Engagement: Experience working with and training young people is highly desirable. We are looking for someone with high emotional intelligence and the ability to connect with and motivate teenage learners. The smaller class size will allow you to build stronger rapport with each student.Reactive & Adaptable: You''ll need to be adaptable and responsive to the needs of the students and the dynamic nature of event planning.Business Acumen: Experience in business training is a plus.Strong Communication: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are essential.Marketing Skills: Experience in marketing or a willingness to learn and implement marketing strategies is beneficial.Working Arrangements:Contract Type: The initial contract will be until November, with plans to extend it yearly for the right person.Schedule: Tuesdays and Friday mornings during school terms, starting in March, 9:30 AM 11:30 AM.
