You will manage small project teams while contributing to the growth of our Geosciences geotechnical business, as part of the Worley Consulting APAC Geosciences practice. We solve complex problems by finding integrated data-centric solutions from the first stages of engineering and consulting to the last stages of installation and commissioning.Join us and help drive innovation and sustainability in our projects.What youll doThe role responsibilities include:Actively promotes and leads a culture of zero harm and safety focus within the Worley Consulting business, across sphere of influence.Embraces teamwork as the key to our delivery success.Support the growth of our Geosciences business through sound project delivery and effective client engagement.Actively and effectively participate in business development initiatives (including identifying target opportunities/clients, client engagement and leading/managing proposal preparation, compilation, delivery and conversion).Contribute to and support developing and implementing our Geosciences strategy and tactics framework.Work with and collaborate with other parts of the Worley business (both locally and globally) to support future opportunities.Establish and maintain good relationships with selected contractors, clients and other Worley Consulting/Worley Services personnel.Support and manage opportunities and projects through sound technical capabilities and efficient project management and also ensure that team and project members follow corporate safety, quality, business development, engineering procedures and processes as part of project delivery.You will be responsible for working across the following elements of a geotechnical project life cycle:Strategy, optioneering and concept geotechnical designsPlanning, execution, supervision and management of field geotechnical investigations of open pit and underground mining projects/operations.Utilize a range of numerical modelling applications, such as RocScience software, Flac3D and Map3D, and the development of various inputs.Geotechnical interpretation and design using industry accepted and standard methodologies, and tools.What youll haveRelevant experience in mining operations and/or consultancy.Tertiary qualification related to geotechnical engineering or rock mechanics and a preference for recent publication history.Registration with appropriate professional institution(s).The potential for impactful business development skills, including expanding/managing/supporting existing client relationships and winning work for our Geosciences business.Experience in the study, design and operations of both open pit and underground mines. Experience in metalliferous mines and a variety of mining methods is valued.Effective presentation, verbal and written communication skills including conveying information and ideas to individuals and groups.Wide-ranging understanding and experience in developing geotechnical models and inputs, covering rockmass and structural characterisation, domaining and material properties.
