Through this footprint and its 10,500+ people, Healius provides specialty diagnostic services to consumers and their referring practitioners.Your role as a Pathology CourierAs Pathology Courier, you will be responsible for the picking-up and transportation of Pathology Samples, Specimens, Blood/Blood Products, X-rays, Vaccines, and clinical waste across Medical Centres, Collection Centres, Nursing Homes, Hospitals, and Veterinarian Surgeries for delivery to Laboratories in various locations. You will ensure a safe and efficient process as you manage 30+ stops per day, playing a crucial part in providing quality health services to the people in our communities.Your key responsibilities will include:Pick-up and delivery of Pathology Samples, Specimens, Blood/Blood Products, X-rays, Vaccines, and clinical waste to and from referring customers.Liaising between Referring Medical Practitioners and the Medical Liaison Officer regarding store orders.Preparation and delivery of reports and stock control in the main laboratory.Maintaining patient confidentiality and integrity.Following operating procedures to complete correct specimen coding documentation.Compliance and adherence to Policies and Procedures, Work Health and Safety Procedures, and Quality Assurance processes.About youValid open Australian drivers license with an excellent driving record.Ability to work various shifts including rostered weekends and public holidays.Great interpersonal skills to liaise with different stakeholders, as well as strong written communication skills.Excellent time management skills, juggling up to 30 stops per day.Physical capability to handle equipment weighing regularly up to 10kg - 15kg.Ability to follow instructions and use initiative to make sound decisions.Previous courier experience is highly advantageous.Hold a Working with Childrens Check or be willing to obtain one.You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work.Benefits and WellbeingAs part of working for Healius, you will have access to a range of benefits including:Benefits platform - Reduce the impact of the cost of living with everyday savings with 500+ of Australia''s most-loved brands.Fitness Passport Access top fitness centres & pools across Australia at a subsidised rate.Corporate health insurance discounts, banking benefits, and novated leasing salary packaging.Career growth and development opportunities with access to a comprehensive library of online courses and learning paths via our e-learning platform.Confidential health and well-being support through our Employee Assistance Program, available to all employees and their family members.Our commitment to diversity and inclusionLaverty Pathology is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
