As the Ranger Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the application of the Citys Ranger Services functions, ensuring a fair and consistent approach to achieving high standards of public safety, law and order. You will provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to a large team of rangers, administrators and parking officers and be primarily responsible for coordinating the activities of the unit with respect to relevant legislation and the Citys Local Laws.Your responsibilities will include:Build and maintain a positive, inclusive and outcomes-focused culture within the Ranger Services team and the teams relationships with the organisation as a whole.Ensure relevant legislations are enforced in a fair, consistent and transparent manner for the benefit of the residents of the City and visitors to the City.Undertake regular reviews of the Citys Local Laws and Policies within the Ranger Services area to ensure currency and efficiency.Administer the provisions of the Bush Fires Act 1954, in relation to bushfire protection and fire hazard reduction and ensure landowners are aware of their lawful responsibilities.What you will need to succeed:You will align with our values and be a critical thinker, with the ability to motivate and influence others. Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience:Relevant qualification such as Regulatory Officers Compliance Skills 1 and 2, and/or Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) or equivalent.Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation with operational experience in regulatory investigations, legal proceedings and prosecutions.Highly developed leadership and management skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment and apply sound supervisory and team building skills.Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively.To apply for this position, please click Apply and follow the prompts.
