This role will specifically be working within the School of Psychology.About the role:The Senior Lecturer, Education-focused Academic will lead unit and course teaching teams in our undergraduate psychology programs (please see the Bachelor of Psychological Science for more information) to improve the student learning experience and outcomes. The position will lead growing, increasingly productive, high-quality scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs. The Education-focused Academic will engage in and increasingly develop and lead academic or other collaborations that enable novel and high-quality teaching methodologies in the psychology-discipline area. The position will also be responsible for appointing, managing, and supporting teaching staff with fixed-term contracts.This position is suited to a person with an emerging record and passion for learning and teaching, a keen interest in contributing to community engagement for teaching and employability.As a Senior Lecturer, Education-focused, you will:Lead unit and course teaching teams and work collaboratively with other teaching teams in the faculty to develop effective unit/courses curricula and learning materials (including through course leadership roles). Lead review of units and courses and implement refinements.Integrate industry, clinical and/or research practice into unit/course design to improve student learning experiences, success, engagement and resources.Lead the development and/or adoption of new innovation in curriculum design within a course and deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices across different levels / modes of delivery.Design collaborative learning opportunities at the course level. Support diverse learners by designing accessible and inclusive unit and course material and practices.Develop effective assessment tasks and rubrics at unit and course level. Provide clear assessment criteria and timely feedback to learners to demonstrate learning outcomes.
