We are seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team at Milton Park Country House Hotel and Spa located in the Southern Highlands.The Assistant Restaurant Manager will play a crucial role in assisting the Restaurant Manager with the daily operations of the restaurants and also have a primary focus of overseeing the bar and executing the beverage program (including alcoholic and non-alcoholic).About Milton Park Country House Hotel and SpaLocated less than a two hours drive from Sydney, Milton Park Country House Hotel and Spa is a hidden gem, tucked away in a secluded hilltop woodland on the eastern edge of Bowral. By fostering a supportive and enriching environment, we ensure that everyone feels valued and appreciated, creating an enduring and lasting impact.The role and key duties:Curate an unforgettable and personalised experience for our guests from start to finish;Forge loyal relationships with guests and locals to promote repeated clientele;Lead and inspire a team of dedicated restaurant staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback;Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies throughout the restaurant;Assist in managing inventory, controlling costs, and optimising profitability;Maintain beverage lists that delight our guests while adhering to brand standards and driving sustainable profitability;Ensure the restaurant and bar areas are always presented to an impeccable standard;Maximize and identify opportunities to sell products & experiences that suit the needs of our guests;Coach the restaurant and bar team to uphold service and quality standards;Essential criteria required to be considered:Proven leadership experience working in a high-end, hatted or fine dining restaurant environment; or equivalent wine/cocktail focused environment (eg. 5-star hotel bar, premium winery cellar door, urban wine/cocktail bar).Strong understanding of food and beverage operations and a keen interest in developing these skills;Strong wine, spirit, cocktail and beer product knowledge;Understanding of trends and influences in the beverage industry, especially cocktails and low/non-alcoholic and wellbeing focused options;Barista training (preferred);Experience in leading a team to success;Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts with professionalism;Proficiency in using restaurant management software, POS systems, and other relevant technology;Strong communication and interpersonal skills;A talent for customer service with a vibrant and outgoing nature.To apply online, please click on the apply button. #J-18808-Ljbffr
