The Langham, Sydney invites our guests to experience elegance redefined at Sydney''s ultimate hotel experience of unsurpassed luxury and opulence.We are recognised for:Offering the city''s most luxurious hotel accommodationGastronomic mixology in our barWorld class offerings from our Pastry KitchenBeautiful, residential style event spacesSydney''s most renowned Day SpaOur stunning harbour-side location in The RocksBespoke local luxury experiencesAbout the roleLead the banquet team in the delivery of exceptional customer service consistent with the Langham Sydney service standards, policies, and procedures in order to maximize guest experience and satisfaction.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrimaryTo be present on the floor for the majority of rostered shift assessing service standards and staffing requirements and coordinating the movement of manpower between areas as dictated by business levels.Provide input for Banquets strategy and for budget process.Monitor manpower planning/ colleague rostering, wages, stock control and food and beverage costs.Identify, address and resolve service issues as appropriate.Plan the weeks rostering, forecast and calculate the revenue and payroll of Food & Beverage business, report fortnightly to the Food and Beverage Manager.Assist with the recruitment, support and development of direct reports. Facilitate multi-skilling. Conduct regular appraisals and provide feedback to maximise performance.Develop and implement Local Standard Operating Procedures (LSOPs) in conjunction with the Food & Beverage Manager.
