Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$82,193.00/yr - A$90,001.00/yrPermanent full-time opportunity (35 hours/week)Based at Royal Botanic Garden, SydneySalary relative to experience and ranges from $82,193 to $90,001 + superJoin our venue booking team at the stunning Royal Botanic Gardens, where youll play a key role in managing a range of exclusive venue, film shoot, and photography bookings.The roleIn this role, youll be the go-to person for planning and coordinating a variety of events, with a primary focus on filming and photography, sport, and promotional activation events at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney. Your main goal is to provide exceptional customer service and support to the Venue Sales Manager to ensure every event runs smoothly and leaves a lasting, positive impression. Youll handle everything from liaising with clients in the lead-up to their booking, producing production schedules, distributing event briefs, and overseeing the day-to-day operations and logistics onsite for your bookings, whilst ensuring that all bookings meet the high standards of the Gardens and are meeting set revenue targets.One of the key challenges you''ll face is juggling multiple bookings at once, especially given the unique and expansive nature of the venues. Youll need to keep up with the latest policies and practices of the Botanic Gardens, all while maintaining a strong customer-centric approach to meet the needs of your clients, aiming to respond to client requests on the same day. With a schedule that includes working from Monday to Friday, with the occasional requirement to work late nights or weekends. Youll be required to not only work as part of the wider Botanic Gardens event team but to work autonomously with a focus on delivering exceptional service.While this role is mostly office-based, we support flexible working arrangements, including the ability to work from home.If you have a passion for filming and photography, mixed with venue coordination, thrive in outdoor settings, and excel in delivering exceptional customer service, this is the perfect opportunity to showcase your skills in one of Sydney''s most iconic outdoor spaces.What you will bring to the rolePrior Experience in Venue Management: You''ve successfully managed and coordinated event bookings at hotels, venues, or other event spaces, ensuring everything runs smoothly from the initial booking to the day of logistics. You also have experience in managing stakeholder relationships such as security, venue staff, and internal departments.Outdoor Venue Experience: You have experience managing bookings for outdoor venues, parks, or leisure facilities using a computerized booking management system, ensuring efficient and effective venue booking coordination.Customer-Centric Approach: Your focus on providing exceptional customer service ensures that clients feel supported and valued, with timely responses and personalized attention to their needs.Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving Skills: You enjoy navigating complex challenges confidently and adapt easily to evolving situations.Organizational Skills: Your ability to juggle multiple bookings and details simultaneously with a keen eye for detail, while keeping everything on track, makes you adept at managing the complexities of event coordination and project management in large, unique venues.Financial Acumen: You have a general understanding of financial effects and can make informed decisions to maximize profits.Computer skills: you have an adept skill set in Microsoft Office software, and experience in venue booking systems.Flexibility and Adaptability: You''re open to flexible working hours, as dictated by the bookings youre managing, whether that be early morning starts or late afternoon finishes, and the ability to be available for additional weekend work or late-night shifts, if required.What is an essential requirement:Ability to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends if required.About usBotanic Gardens of Sydney, under the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust, is Australias oldest scientific institution and a custodian of over $1.2 billion in cultural, heritage, and botanical collections.
