Our strategy is to focus on creating a safe work environment where our employees feel strongly connected to our values and objectives, and where the capability of our people is key to our success.Come and be a part of this success.About the RoleWe are seeking a Communications Specialist who will contribute to the advisory, design, operation, maintenance and oversight of the Rail Signalling System components and sub-systems, and other associated systems maintained by Rail Network Maintenance.You will:Apply an understanding of Signals Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering and Rail related terminology, theory, key processes and activities.Provide technical coaching to frontline team members to improve knowledge and capability.Employ specific/relevant discipline engineering expertise and leadership to meet BHP''s technical expectations.Initiate, design and manage projects completed within the Signals and Communications team.Assess change impacts to prepare integrated change management plans, manage change readiness and resistance, and upskill leaders and impacted stakeholders in the adoption and successful delivery of the change.Determine the underlying cause of problems and evaluate multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.Identify, engage and manage a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.Identify and assess risks, make risk informed decisions, use BHP''s risk management framework and build a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.Source information, plan and conduct analyses to support evidence based decision making.Engage the capabilities of the entire organisation.Strive to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.Work with a clear view of customer needs, measuring their own success through stretch goals and metrics.
