We work together to enable success for all students.We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Learning Support Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will work as part of the Learning Support Team to support our students with disabilities, playing a crucial role in enhancing their educational experiences and promoting inclusive environments.As a Learning Support Teacher, you will collaborate closely with Teachers to create and maintain Student Plans that are tailored to each student''s unique needs. You will assist teachers in developing the skills needed to effectively differentiate instruction and implement necessary accommodations for students with complex learning profiles. This role also involves comprehensive case management, where you will work in collaboration with families, external agencies, and therapy teams to ensure that learning is accessible and effective for all students.The successful applicant will also play a crucial role in the professional development of our Education Assistant (EA) team. By collaborating closely with teachers, you will ensure that EAs are effectively integrated into the classroom, enhancing student support. Additionally, you will work on various initiatives, such as developing student pathways and supporting both ASDAN programs, Explicit Direct Instruction, Mastery Learning, and Team Teach.Joining our team offers you the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of students with special educational needs within a supportive and collaborative environment. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachersEligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position.
