Forum provides patrons with breakfast, lunch and take away services. With a great work environment and convenient working location on the University of Sydney Main Campus, the Forum is ready to welcome a passionate Chef De Partie.Your key responsibilities (but not limited to) will be to:assist in managing the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chefoversee food preparation, cooking and presentation in the restauranttroubleshoot any problems that may arise in the kitchensupport the Head Chef on the daily kitchen operations and during catering eventsensure kitchen maintenance and cleanlinessenforce safety, health and hygiene standards in the kitchenAbout youCert III Commercial Cookery and 2 years chef experience (Minimum) in similar roleappreciation for consistency of food quality and presentationexcellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentTAFE Workplace Hygiene or Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or equivalentdemonstrated ability to apply WH&S, HACCP processes and achieve high standards of food hygieneparticipate in the development of new dishes for the menudemonstrated reliability and ability to work unsupervisedability to work in a fast-paced environmentSponsorship / work rights for AustraliaVisa sponsorship is not available for this position. This role requires valid work rights for Australia.Your employment is conditional upon the completion of all role-required pre-employment or background checks in terms satisfactory to the University.
