In 2021, PFD formed a partnership with another proud Australian company, Woolworths Group.The RoleThe purpose of this role is to satisfactorily perform duties under the direction of the Operations Manager in the preparation, handling, portioning and/or packaging of fresh meat and other like products in a chilled environment and undertake other duties within the production department as required.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparing meat for sale by removing bones, trimming fat and cutting meat to shape and sizeTaking customer orders over the phone and counterPreparing meat cuts, marinating and seasoningOperating filling machines, smoking chambers, cooking kettles and vatsAssisting in the operation of machinery to grind, mix, mince or tenderise meatPacking and wrapping meatMaintenance of pricing and labelling of productsKey Competencies, Skills and QualificationsAwareness of OH&S and Food Safety requirementsAwareness of HACCP food safety program and the ''cold chain'' process in particularEnjoy practical and manual workHave good hand-eye coordinationAbility to do quick and accurate work with handsGood communication skillsAccurate with an eye for detailGood time management and organisational skillsMotivated and ReliableCustomer focusedAbility to work in a team environmentWhat PFD is Offering the Successful CandidateWe are offering competitive remuneration, superannuation and other staff benefits (such as discounts on staff purchases, discounted accommodation, health insurance and banking).
