Salary: Teacher, $85,610 - $124,046 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023)Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part TimeSuccessful applicants from pool process 922027 need not re-apply.We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Support teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.Geographe Education Support Centre is located in Busselton and caters for students with a range of disabilities from Kindergarten to Year 12. Throughout their school years, our students have amazing opportunities. They will learn how to care for themselves, be responsible, stay safe, protect themselves, and be confident and caring individuals. They will actively engage in their communities through caring for the environment, joining teams, becoming great workers, and volunteering.In addition to learning skills to live an interesting and fulfilling life, students will be encouraged to make friends and contribute to their community. Through communication, problem-solving, learning about the world, and conducting investigations, they will develop lifelong learning skills.Suitable applicants will ideally use explicit teaching strategies and exhibit effective classroom management skills to enhance student learning and wellbeing. Applicants should also be flexible, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to professional learning, and a high level of participation in collaborative team planning.They should plan, program, and assess using an integrated curriculum, differentiated to meet individual student needs. Applicants will also ideally have highly effective teaching practices, an ability to self-reflect, and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice.We are seeking applicants who are hardworking and knowledgeable about a range of disabilities and the implementation of strategies to support and enhance individual development in all areas. Teachers in an education support environment positively manage a team of Education Assistants to create a safe and supportive learning environment for students.
