Job Description - Contracts Administrator (Subcontractor Specialist) (262867)UGL is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator (Subcontractor Specialist) to join our Perth team to support multiple projects across the Resources & Energy West Division. This is a full-time permanent position, working a Monday Friday roster.As the Contracts Administrator (Subcontractor Specialist), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful and timely engagement of third party vendors for delivery phase projects. You will be responsible for championing downstream supply chain management processes which includes (but is not limited to), supporting the development of project procurement plans, developing and issuing appropriate tender packages to the market, managing tender phase clarifications, conducting submission evaluations, undertaking contractual negotiations, and managing delegation of authority workflows.Key Responsibilities:Procurement Support: Support the development of procurement schedules in liaison with Project Managers to identify key resourcing requirements and strategic vendor engagement opportunities.Tender Management: Assist in the development, evaluation, and award of subcontractor tender bids in close consultation with Project Managers and the wider project teams.Contract Drafting: Prepare suitable subcontract instruments with appropriate contract models for each subcontract tender in accordance with internal compliance standards.Delegation of Authority Workflows : Develop commercial business cases to secure appropriate approvals to align or deviate from internal policy positions that enable the project delivery teams to leverage competitive and robust subcontract frameworks.Negotiating terms and conditions : Engage in direct negotiations (by way of written and face-to-face negotiations) on contractual and commercial terms with vendor focal points to facilitate agile solution orientated outcomes.Supply Chain Management : Oversee day-to-day supply chain activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services to project teams whilst maintaining strong relationships with all subcontractor parties (including dispute resolution and claim management support).Contract Handover : Develop contract administration guides (including facilitation of contract kick-off meetings) and process maps for subcontract handover to the relevant project delivery teams.Qualifications & Experience:Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).Proven experience in contract administration within the Australian construction or engineering sectors (preferably in brownfield projects) with a focus on downstream subcontractor engagement.Strong commercial acumen and understanding of contract law and procurement processes.Excellent negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal), with a focus on stakeholder management.Strong understanding of category management and supply chain coordination.Commitment to compliance and ethical standards.What we offerThe chance to join a 6,000+ strong organisation owned by the CIMIC Group, one of the worlds largest leading international contractors.An excellent opportunity for career growth and development in a high-performance environment.Competitive group remuneration and benefits packages including a health and wellbeing program with company-funded salary continuance insurance.A culture that values diversity and innovation, evolving with market changes and new technologies.What makes you right for UGLGenuine concern for safety.The ability to stay calm under pressure.Capacity to flourish in a high-performance environment.An innovative mindset and a willingness to challenge the norm.A belief that success and value are driven by real teams where everyone has a role to play.About UsUGL is well-known and respected for providing end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services within, rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables and resources, water and defence markets.
