Associate, Sustainable & Impact Investment, and Governance (SIIG)Employment Type: OngoingClassification / Grade / Band: Clerk Grade 7/8Remuneration: $110,266.00 - $122,058.00; plus, Superannuation and Leave LoadingLocation: Sydney CBDApplications Close: Monday, 3 March 2025 at 9:59amRole impact & contributionThis role provides an opportunity for you to be at the forefront of the NSW Governments engagement in sustainable and impact investment.You will work within a supportive and passionate team to deliver the Social Impact Investment Policy 2.0, facilitating better social, environmental and financial outcomes for communities across NSW.As an Associate, you will undertake research, complete financial and impact analysis, and provide operational and governance support related to the development and delivery of sustainable and impact investment initiatives, policies and frameworks.You will also support the team with its governance responsibilities, which include secretariat and strategic support to several of NSW Treasurys committees.Initially, your role may include supporting:Collaborative discussions with Aboriginal organisations to design new impact investments that improve education outcomes for First Nations girls.Outcome reporting, analysis and oversight of existing impact investments.Identifying suitable assets for the NSW Sustainability Bond Programme and support for its related governance groups.Secretariat for key governance committees within NSW Treasury, including the Asset and Liability Committee.What you can bring to the roleThe ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:Demonstrated passion and commitment to drive better social and environmental outcomes.Experience in financial/economic analysis (e.g. cost-benefit analysis or financial modelling), impact investment, philanthropy and/or social policy.Understanding of financial concepts and/or impact measurement and evaluation.Ability to conduct research and communicate policy, financial and/or economic analysis clearly and effectively (verbally and in writing).Strong project management and interpersonal skills, including ability and confidence working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.Ability to think critically and adapt to and thrive in a continuously changing business and policy environment.Minimum 2 years of work experience in a related field.Tertiary qualifications in economics, social policy, finance, law or other relevant areas are highly regarded.Application process:An up-to-date resume detailing your knowledge, skills, and experience in relation to the role.Complete pre-screening questions as part of the application process.Partake in a behavioural based interview and undergo additional assessments if shortlisted.EligibilityTo be eligible to apply for ongoing employment at NSW Treasury, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia.The successful candidate will be required to undergo background checks and provide confirmation of tertiary academic qualifications before commencement.Any questions?Visit our Careers Centre or contact our Talent Advisor Scott Walker, scott.walker@treasury.nsw.gov.au.Close of applications: Monday, 3 March 2025 at 9:59am #J-18808-Ljbffr
