When our children and young people thrive, so do our communities and our state.About the role:The Scheduling Officer is responsible for ensuring regular reviews of rural school transport services within designated districts, which result in efficient, safe and cost-effective transport services in accordance with the Department''s School Transport Policy. The position is also responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of new school transport models, contracts, and functions to resolve local issues and support departmental objectives. The role also consults with Principals, Education Directors, school bus contractors/drivers and school communities to determine the most efficient way of providing transport for students in accordance with the Department''s policies and procedures guidelines.Qualifications:Essential: NilDesirable: NilSpecial conditions:The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed, which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
