Find your future with us.As a result of our continued success, we currently have permanent opportunities for trade-qualified Spray Painters to join our advanced manufacturing site located in Port Melbourne on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for sealant application, product preparation, and painting of various parts and products within the paint shop. Our successful team members will enjoy a range of benefits and will be the future of our industry-leading organization.About our benefits:- Attractive remuneration and annual company bonus with yearly salary increases- Monthly rostered day off- Additional annual Boeing Day off in addition to 20 days of annual leave- Free onsite parking- Strong career progression opportunities- Team-based environment along with supportive Team Leaders and Managers- Onsite canteen with subsidized food available for purchase- New uniform provided yearly including safety gear and tools- Access to Boeing Discount Program an exclusive retail and services discount marketplace including health insurance, travel, and accommodation- Salary packaging options available- Afternoon and night shift allowance- Excellent work-life balance supporting one of the following shifts: - Day Shift: 6am 2:30pm - Afternoon Shift: 2:30pm 11pm (15% Loading) - Night Shift: 10pm 6:30am (30% Loading)Position Responsibilities:- Understanding the requirements of quality instructions and detailed drawings- Compliance with BAA and customer quality assurance standards and requirements- Comply with surface finish process specifications and work order specifications- Operate and monitor spray booths & oven specifications- Preparation and painting of final assembled and detailed parts- Use of both hand and pneumatic paint process tools- Complete preparation processes for painting of composite products- Undertake mixing processes and paint application in a production environment- Maintain housekeeping and compliance requirements- Participate in Lean programs by supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of the business- Participate in health and safety culture and uphold safety & environmental standardsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):- Australian recognized Trade qualification as a Spray Painter is essential- Completion of a trade Apprenticeship backed with relevant experience working as a Spray Painter- Experience in spray painting onto various substrate materials in a high-quality environment- Flexibility to work across day, afternoon, and night shift- Ability to read and interpret drawings and work instructions as per specifications- Excellent communication and teamwork skills- Basic use of computer systems- Able to exercise independent judgment- Capable of working under indirect supervision- General knowledge of safety procedures and strong advocate of EH&SPlease note that in order to be considered, candidates will need to have full unrestricted working rights in Australia.Additional Information:This is an EBA position and classified as an Aerospace Tradesperson 1.
