In this hands-on role, you''ll play a key role in maintaining Council assets and infrastructure with a focus on safety, customer service, and community pride.What You''ll Do:Undertake general parks and gardens maintenance duties including but not limited to weeding, planting, mulching, mowing, pruning, disease/pest control, irrigation, watering, playground inspection and maintenanceEnsure consistent delivery of the highest level of customer serviceEnsure our open spaces & associated amenities are maintained and improved to a high standard.Operate and maintain small to medium plant and equipment, ensuring all work is conducted safely and efficientlyUphold Council''s values of sustainability, integrity, respect, and professionalism in all tasksProvide exceptional service to our community, ensuring public spaces remain clean, safe, and welcomingWhat You''ll Bring:Essential: Contemporary experience in Horticulture, or substantial contemporary experience in a similar role, coupled with ongoing professional development to support contemporary knowledgeClass C Driver''s LicenseProven ability to operate, maintain and clean mowers (push & ride on types), brush cutters, chippers, chain saws, leaf blowers, leaf sucking equipment, and edger''s or similarAble to competently operate and safely drive and maintain vehicles and plantStrong teamwork skills and commitment to safety and environmental standardsWhat''s on Offer:Salary range per annum from Grade 6 Min $58,656.00 to Grade 6 Max $65,624.00 plus super, depending on skills, experience and qualifications. 9 day fortnight with RDO.Why Join Us?Opportunity for skill development and career progression within CouncilContribute to projects that directly enhance our community''s environment and quality of lifeBe part of a supportive team that values hard work, respect, and dedicationGunning and Crookwell work locationsReady to make a difference in your community?
