We operate two underground metallurgical coal mines, two preparation plants and a logistics chain.5 weeks annual leaveOptions for additional superannuation contributionsGenerous leave entitlements for long service and parental leaveAnnual short-term incentive bonus that recognises both your individual performance and the overall success of the businessABOUT THE ROLEThis role is a Permanent position based at the Appin mine which is near the coastal city of Wollongong, NSW, approximately 75 kilometres southwest of Sydney.As the Communication Technician, you will be responsible for executing maintenance and support tasks across the Mine Infrastructure and Communications Network, ensuring the effective maintenance and operation of Electrical equipment and systems at Appin Mine.Other key responsibilities include, but arent limited to:Deploy and manage physical communications systems, including wifi & mobile equipmentAssist with planning for site outages and critical system upgradesTroubleshoot and repair communication systems, including PLCs and radiosSupport ongoing maintenance and calibration of environmental monitoring systemsABOUT YOUStrong experience in electrical, communications, or relevant technical fieldsAbility to work across various shift patterns, including public holidaysExcellent problem-solving skills in challenging environmentsA proactive attitude with a commitment to achieving high standards and resultsQualifications for this position are:Electrical Supervisors Certificate OR Proficiency Certificate in an electrical trade (trade certificate)Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) Statement of Attainment or Statement of AttendanceFirst Aid CertificateGM3 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
