You will utilise your significant technical knowledge and experience to advance AusNets Transmission lines asset intelligence.This role is based in Southbank (however the role location can be split amongst Malvern &/or Southbank and this can be discussed with the preferred candidate). The role is part of the Filed Engineering team within our Transmission line of business.This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:Support for periodic inspection, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance strategies, procedures and protocolsForensic analysis of asset condition and component defectStructural defect analysis and management including bent membersManagement of Lindsey Emergency Restoration Systems including designsManagement of, and recommendations into soxing worksTransmission Line Condition Assessment (CA) managementTechnical guidance and advice for field work groups on Transmission Lines asset equipmentLiaison/feedback into track and easement managementLiaison/feedback into vegetation managementImproving processes around Transmission line asset defect rectificationCollaborate with other teams to monitor, analyse and track lines assets and to develop lines assets contingency plans, spares strategies and policiesResponsible for assisting professional engineers in the development of high-level line designs, and other project activitiesIdentify opportunities to introduce innovation and new technologies into operational practicesYou dont need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:Degree in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering or significant demonstrated transmission lines experienceCP Eng (preferred), CIGRE if appropriate, Victoria Professional Engineers RegistrationExperience within utility industry with depth and breadth of knowledge in all aspects of transmission lines up to 500kVExperience in the principles of strategic asset management and knowledge of contemporary asset management systems preferredCommitted to the safety of the community as a whole and employees engaged in the provision of servicesDemonstrated ability to develop relationships and lead initiatives to successfully deliver business outcomesHigh-level of consulting, influencing interpersonal and communication skills, and driven to achieve resultsA real place to belong.We celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team.
