This position allows you to collaborate with outstanding stakeholders while driving innovations and supporting the Grid portfolio within Vestas APAC.The APAC Grid function supports the full value chain (Sales, Construction & Service) on grid connection and balance of plant aspects of all projects across the APAC region. The role will work directly with the management team within Grid APAC to provide technical leadership on a range of functional topics.Responsibilities:Your main responsibilities as Senior Functional Lead, Grid APAC will be to take technical accountability for a portfolio of functional scope:Technical and Quality accountability of your functional portfolio, driving an industry leading approachProject Optimisation of the portfolio, ensuring the diverse range of stakeholders'' expectations are managed and business commitments are achievedProcess Improvement of technical processes and tools to improve quality, efficiency and scalabilityTechnical Mentorship of colleagues working within your portfolio, providing guidance and supporting competence building and growth opportunitiesContract Negotiations ensuring the contractual commitments on grid connection and electrical matters represent a balanced technically compliant solution at an appropriate risk levelQualifications:Masters/PhD in Power Systems, Power Electronics or similarExpert level knowledge of PSCAD or PSS/E or PFAble to understand and interpret complex grid code requirementsProven track record in power systems modelling and analysisProduct knowledge of STATCOM/synchronous condenser/SVC/HVDC system design and control/BESS system (with Grid forming technology) is an advantageExperience in substation design and protection design is an advantageExperience in renewable grid interconnection analysis for compliance assessment is an advantageCompetencies:Proven experience at providing technical leadership of complex power systems topics with high levels of accountabilityExtremely solid communication skills and ability to convey complex information in a simple and concise manner to a variety of technical and commercial stakeholdersAbility to provide mentorship and technical guidance to a motivated workforce in challenging and high-pressure tendering/execution environmentsResults-oriented, with the ability to be innovative and creative in building technical value propositions and seeking out value optimisation opportunitiesHigh level of customer focus, with a holistic understanding of how technical solutions impact a business case commercially and contractuallyProfessional presentation skills with the ability to present to senior managementWhat we offer:We offer you a job with excellent professional and personal development opportunities in an inspiring, international work environment at a well-known manufacturer of wind turbines.We value initiative, responsibility and the right balance between creativity and quality in all solutions.
