From the awe-inspiring Melbourne Museum to the culturally significant Immigration Museum, the innovative Scienceworks, and the World Heritage-listed Royal Exhibition Building, we''re a team of passionate professionals dedicated to preserving the past and shaping the future.ABOUT THE POSITION:The purpose of this position is to grow and develop Museums Victoria''s existing social media platforms and support on the implementation of strategies to ensure continued expansion across our brands, driving growth of reach and engagement with our target audiences.Some of the key duties include:Support the creation of and manage implementation of social media strategies, tactics and team guidelines/tools that align with Museums Victoria business goals.Work collaboratively with the Digital Platforms and Digital Content Studio teams, to support and promote Museums Victoria''s Digital Life Content and Channel Strategies.Work collaboratively with key organisational stakeholders and broader content contributors across Museums Victoria to support program, exhibition and Museum 24/7 initiatives.Perform research on current benchmark and industry trends, and audience preferences including new and emerging technologies, hashtag strategies and new or expanded applications.Set specific objectives and regularly report on ROI using social media monitoring tools.Administrate, generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news) across Museums Victoria multiple accounts and platforms.Administrate a content publishing schedule that spans organic and boosted content as well as CEO''s social media channels.Support Marketing Managers in regard to social media strategies, tactics and best practice in relation to their individual campaigns.THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE:Demonstrable knowledge and experience in developing and delivering innovative Social Media plans and tactics.A record of achievement in leading and implementing relevant original and high-quality content.Demonstrable experience in administering multiple accounts achieving both growth and ROI.Demonstrable experience tracking social media performance, using social media monitoring tools, and reporting on KPIs.An in-depth understanding of social media advertising, various platforms, formats and paid campaign objectives.A broad digital understanding of the role social media plays in a broader digital ecosystem (driving traffic to web, driving revenue etc.).An in-depth understanding of the cultural, arts, science and leisure sectors, including the ability to manage and communicate on sensitive subject matters.OTHER INFORMATION:This is a full-time, ongoing position.
