Please reach out to us about any adjustments or support you may require.About the role:The purpose of the Senior Compliance Advisor role within Momentum Energys compliance team is to support Momentum Energys leadership team, managers, and employees to understand and meet their regulatory compliance obligations. This is achieved through the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Momentum Energys compliance framework.What youll do:Maintain knowledge and expertise of best compliance practices and keep abreast of industry and regulatory changes relating to the Momentum Energy business.Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Work collaboratively within the Compliance and Retail Governance teams, and across the broader Momentum Energy business.Provide pragmatic, fit for purpose, and risk-based regulatory compliance advice to internal stakeholders.Perform internal assurance activities, report findings, seek management responses, and monitor management actions.Facilitate the compliance plan and the management of obligations, risks and controls.Facilitate the compliance incident management process and support incident owners with the investigation and remediation of compliance incidents.Develop, maintain, and deliver internal compliance training.Review and signoff internal and external material (work instructions, customer communications, website content etc.) to ensure that compliance with regulatory obligations is met.Prepare and submit timely and accurate external compliance reporting to regulators and government departments.Minimum Requirements:Significant experience in the energy industry or another highly regulated industry.Previous experience in similar compliance, assurance, audit, risk, legal and/or other related roles.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (including presentational skills).Influencing and collaboration skills with demonstrated capacity to manage stakeholders at all levels.Ability to understand and interpret energy and non-energy compliance instruments being Acts, regulations, codes, rules, schemes, guidelines etc.Ability to translate complex compliance requirements into succinct and easy to understand advice for internal stakeholders and project team members.Strong understanding of the Australian Standard for Compliance Management Systems (AS ISO 37301:2023).Attention to detail and strong investigative, problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.Ability to plan and schedule priorities, manage strict deadlines, and adapt to changing situations.You''ll work in an incredibly fun and rewarding business that genuinely values its people and customers.We are super proud of where we work, our workplace and work culture.
