Reporting to the Global Design Director, this role is a key part of the workplace design team, involved in all project phases, from new business development and client briefing to concept design, design development, documentation, and on-site project coordination.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Client Services team and consult with clients to understand their design and construction needs, supporting new business development opportunities.Develop client briefs and establish a clear conceptual understanding of projects, considering space functionality, budgets, and aesthetic preferences.Work closely with the Cost Estimating and Project Management teams to align design and cost estimating information with project budgets.Establish and drive design timelines in line with the overall project master program, coordinating with project managers and updating clients on changes as needed.Create and present conceptual and design development presentations using a variety of graphic techniques, including space planning and 3D visuals.Present design concepts to team members for review and cost analysis.Prepare technical documentation, including written specifications, tender, and construction documents.Ensure compliance with international design standards, codes, materials, and manufacturing techniques relevant to global markets.Maintain an understanding of emerging global workplace strategies and design trends.Design in accordance with applicable building codes and spatial standards.Source materials, equipment, fixtures, and furniture to align with design, program, and budget requirements.Attend project meetings and coordinate with consultants throughout design and delivery.Participate in site meetings, reviewing and addressing design issues throughout construction.Collaborate with project leaders to resolve design and buildability challenges while preserving the original design intent.Assist in developing marketing and pitch materials, including layouts, 3D visuals, diagrams, and data.Deliver high-quality design solutions within time and budget constraints.Candidate Profile:A highly motivated and detail-oriented designer with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Capable of working both autonomously and as part of a geographically diverse team.Required Experience & Skills:Minimum of 11 years experience in workplace interior design.Proven ability to build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.Experience in developing new business opportunities in collaboration with the Client Services team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Expertise in project planning, leadership, organization, and problem-solving.Experience managing designers and specialist design support throughout projects.A commitment to delivering high-quality, globally relevant workplace strategy and interior design.Ability to balance quality, timing, and budget considerations effectively.Acute attention to detail when reviewing work, both personally and in checking others outputs.Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD Architecture, and the Adobe Suite.Experience in space planning, conceptual and design development work, and technical documentation.Prior involvement in all design stages, from feasibility to construction.Strong understanding of project delivery processes and the ability to collaborate with consultants while maintaining conceptual design integrity.This role offers the opportunity to lead innovative workplace design projects on a global scale while working within a dynamic and highly skilled team.
