Based on the Gold Coast, this role offers a unique opportunity to partner with key stakeholders and operational teams, embedding a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.As a Safety Advisor, you will provide expert guidance, support, and coaching to departments across the organisation. Youll play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation and management of our Safety Management System (SMS) while fostering a culture of safety excellence.Responsibilities will include:Provide professional advice on safety and environmental responsibilities to team members, supervisors, and managers.Partner with key stakeholders to implement policies, systems, procedures, and educational programs.Support departments in the delivery and management of the Safety Management System (SMS).Conduct safety investigations and audits under the direction of the Senior Safety Advisor, identifying root causes and recommending actions.Facilitate safety promotion activities and risk management training, ensuring the use of tools like Take 5, SMWS, and the Coast Entertainment Risk Management Framework.Provide guidance to the Health and Safety Committee and support ongoing development of their skills.Manage and maintain the internal safety reporting system (SALvus).Actively contribute to safety governance risk review committees and working groups.To be successful, you will have:Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related discipline (degree or vocational qualification with equivalent experience preferred).Auditor and safety investigator qualifications with experience in conducting both.Proven knowledge of WHSQ Regulations, Australian Standards, and Codes of Practice.A demonstrated ability to assess and respond appropriately to potential risks in a heavily regulated operational environment.A demonstrated ability to provide relevant safety advice and support to operational areas.The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation from frontline team members to Senior Managers.As a team member, youll enjoy exclusive perks, including free access to Dreamworld, WhiteWater World, and SkyPoint, discounts on retail and dining, free on-site parking, and savings on everyday purchases through Perkbox.
