As a business, we have been awarded AFR Sustainability Leader in the Banking and Finance category and won the inaugural Sustainability Award at the Affies!We value different perspectives, skills, and backgrounds and have been recognized for our strength in creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, winning Best Workplace Diversity (Finnies 2021).About the Role:Assess credit applications with delegated underwriting authority in accordance with Brightes policies and within the commercial risk environment.Manage all aspects of the credit underwriting process within delegated lending authority including verifying application data, analysing credit reports, and property searches.Provide sound, high-quality recommendations to management on complex deals.Assess and review the credit and fraud risk of customer applications and ensure all applications are compliant.Manage daily workflow for credit analysis to ensure all SLAs are adhered to.Act as a point of escalation between sales and applications team.Increase the efficiency and accuracy of our processes through automation and assist in drafting risk policies.Support Head of and/or Senior Manager of Credit & Lending Operations in relation to any project or ad hoc matters.What You''ll Bring:Strong experience with credit in financial services with demonstrated understanding of implications for working within a regulated environment.Experience with lending delegation. This is essential to your success as youll be making the final call at the end of the day not just assessing the loan.Exposure to various stages of the credit approval process including customer engagement.An analytical mindset - you are confident in your decision-making ability.An agile approach and able to navigate a fast-moving, complex environment.Ability to identify opportunities with a focus on continuous improvement.A well-developed ability to collaborate with various teams and manage expectations of internal and external stakeholders.Understanding of relevant regulatory legislation under the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act (2001) (ASIC Act), Competition and Consumer Act, The Anti-Money Laundering, and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act and Privacy Act; and National Consumer Credit Protection Act as well as Australian Privacy Principles.Benefits:Flexible working arrangements to suit individual needs and a hybrid work model.
