Within this, the Groups unique property lease portfolio numbers over 400 leases in a diverse range of areas including corporate offices, airport terminals, customer lounges, engineering hangars, car parks, and freight facilities. The majority share of these leases reside on airport land making commercial strategy and negotiations complex.The Groups Property Leasing function sits within Commercial Airports and the Manager Corporate Real Estate & Leasing reports to the Head of Property Leasing. Strategically, the role sits within the broader framework for managing property activities which requires close integration with both the Group Property and Commercial Airports team. As a specialist corporate function, the role also requires strong collaboration with business segments and other specialist areas like Qantas Legal to deliver a cost-effective, Group First outcome in the property leasing space.Working within a small but high-performing team, the Leasing Manager will be responsible for administering the Groups strategy in real estate leasing including:Commercial negotiation with landlordsLease documentation and executionLease termination activitiesInternal and external stakeholder managementTechnical support for business unitsGovernance (including TILTA administration)Financial planning and developmentImplementation of process improvement initiativesOversight of embedded/outsourced partners who assist in lease management including the rent roleYoull have:5+ years experience in property teams strongly preferredTertiary qualifications in a property-related fieldExtensive negotiation skills and experienceStrong relationship and stakeholder management skillsThe ability to understand the key long-term property cost drivers affecting QantasStrong focus on continuous process improvement and best practice outcomesStrong written and commercial skillsProject management experienceGovernance process experience (for example writing RFAs)Ability to work with a high degree of autonomyWhy Qantas?Youll join a team where creativity and passion are encouraged.
