Our region offers dynamic work environments as well as an affordable and community-oriented lifestyle, with access to essential facilities and diverse experiences for singles and families.Your OpportunityAs the Principal Program Officer, you will:Assist in leading the development of a suite of early childhood initiatives supporting effective practices to optimise learning and development outcomes for children across early childhood.Contribute to the development and management of strategic early childhood initiatives to increase the capacity of key stakeholders to support successful transitions and enhance continuity of learning and development for children.Your RoleResponsibilities IncludeLead and manage early childhood specific initiatives to support sustained and consistent implementation, prioritising the participation and engagement of all children in development and learning pathways; and in quality transitions, that lead to successful educational outcomes and wellbeing.Develop and implement projects, including risk management strategies and key performance measures to ensure outcomes are delivered in a timely and effective manner.Prepare and quality assure correspondence associated with priority projects and initiatives.Develop effective partnerships and support communities to implement place-based approaches to improve outcomes for children and families.Identify, develop and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and agencies to collaborate on strategic early years priorities relating to early childhood.Access and analyse information sources such as economic and demographic data, Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) sector performance data, regional development plans, local government planning documents, recommendations, and papers to inform planning and coordination advice and support.Develop strategies to identify regional and local early childhood needs including undertaking targeted activities and collaborating with clients and stakeholders.Assist in contributing to the regional strategic plan by identifying local priorities and addressing emerging issues and trends to build community capacity and enhance performance to optimise quality outcomes for children.Provide early childhood advice to the Manager to inform quality decision making.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
