Drive impactful research in womens health at a top 50 universityCollaborate with leading experts in an inclusive research communityBe surrounded by extraordinary ideas - and the people who discover themThe OpportunityJoin the SPHERE Centre of Research Excellence as Senior Research Fellow and play a pivotal role in advancing major research activities that focus on improving womens sexual and reproductive health care in primary care. This includes developing partnerships with data custodians in womens health and working with key datasets such as the Australian Longitudinal Study on Womens Health to conduct high-quality analyses. The role involves exploring critical research questions related to preconception care, contraception, medical abortion, endometriosis and pelvic pain to drive meaningful improvements in healthcare access and quality.This position provides an opportunity to contribute to impactful research projects through high-level statistical input and quantitative analysis. The Senior Research Fellow will be responsible for designing and developing new research initiatives, securing external research funding and producing high-quality publications. The Senior Research Fellow will also engage in research translation and impact activities that connect SPHEREs work to broader policy and practice improvements. In addition to conducting research, the role involves supervising research and administrative staff, mentoring junior researchers and fostering collaborations with external partners to enhance SPHEREs research reach.We are seeking a highly experienced researcher with a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline and a strong track record in epidemiology or statistics, particularly in the field of womens health. The successful candidate will have an established history of securing competitive research funding and producing high-quality publications and conference contributions and will also have demonstrated experience in mentoring and leading research teams to deliver high-impact outcomes.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing research program that directly influences policy and practice in womens health.
