In this position, you will help minimize the impact of unplanned downtime and also work on planned day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the materials handling system.In this role you will:Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable developmentEnsure all safe work systems, procedures, and standards are adhered to through frequent inspection of the workplacePromote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every dayProvide safe operational skills to perform unplanned or breakdown maintenance in accordance with current processesComplete inspections of materials handling systems and beltsAssist where required in the permit to work system, including helping update documents relating to specific tasksProvide continual feedback to the Shift Maintenance Supervisors on job progressAbout YouProven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm''s waySelf-motivated, driven, and focused on achieving high performance targets whilst always prioritizing safety firstSound mechanical aptitude will be highly beneficialFL and Bobcat, riggers, dogging, and crane ticket advantageous, but not essentialComfortable working in an underground mining environment and around heavy machineryAbility to communicate across multiple levels and disciplinesLevel 2 Authorised Isolator, Job and Area Owner qualified highly beneficialAbout Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
