The centre aims to enhance the parent-child relationship and support parents with strategies for achieving their parenting goals, often in areas such as sleep and settling, child behaviour, and parent and child health and wellbeing.These goals are achieved through structured programs that vary from residential, day stay, and in-home support. Programs include:Psychosocial, physical and developmental assessments.Parenting education.Counselling.Play-based activities.The Barwon Early Parenting Centre is located within the McKellar Centre precinct on Ballarat Road in North Geelong.About the roleThe Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) provides delegation, supervision, and support to those on shift - Early Parenting Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and other support staff, ensuring the delivery of early parenting services to families meets the needs of the consumer. In addition, they ensure effective and efficient utilization of resources in the provision and delivery of high-quality parenting services to mothers, fathers, parents, carers, families, and their children, delivering early parenting programs that meet staff, client, and stakeholders objectives.
