time left to apply End Date: March 11, 2025 (25 days left to apply)job requisition id JR_039194Primary Position ObjectiveResMed is leading the way in cloud-connected medical devices that transform care for people with sleep apnea, COPD and other chronic diseases.The Precision Tooling (PT) Department is based in Sydney and forms a part of the Global Moulding Function.Within the Precision Tooling Department, we are working to deliver high quality LSR injection moulds and automation to our internal customers using the latest industrial technology.The CNC Operator is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of CNC mills, EDM and wirecutting machines to produce high-quality parts that meet the manufacturing schedule. The CNC Operator will accomplish this through the set-up of work fixtures, tools and workpieces according to setup sheets and monitoring the machining process to ensure parts are manufactured to the required specification. The CNC Operator must also perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of the machines to ensure they are functioning optimally.Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesOperate multiple CNC mills, EDM, wirecutters or other metal working equipment as required according to documented procedures.Set up fixtures and workpieces accurately and efficiently.Set up tools, electrodes and holders with precision.Perform routine maintenance on machines as necessary.Use precision measuring tools to verify the quality of machined parts.Provide feedback for CAM revisions, giving input on manufacturing requirements.Operate CMM to verify quality of machined parts according to specification.Basic CNC CAM Programming.Assist in continuous improvement projects by evaluating processes and making recommendations to improve productivity, quality and cost.Perform and document pre-delivery inspection processes to ensure the highest quality tooling projects are delivered safely to our clients across the globe.Ongoing compliance with ResMed policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.Perform other ad hoc duties as required.Qualifications and Experience5 years experience operating CNC mills.CAM knowledge advantageous.Qualifications / accreditation in Toolmaking, Machining, or Engineering would be advantageous.Broad understanding of CNC machining & cutter technologies.Proficient in working with Fanuc, Heindenhain or Siemens controllers.Strong safety awareness and commitment to safety procedures.Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Basic computer ability in Microsoft Office.Joining us is more than saying yes to making the world a healthier place.
