The ClientOmeros Bros is a multi-award winning seafood fine-dining restaurant located at Marina Mirage on the Gold Coast. They are a multi-cultural and diversified team and are seeking a qualified and experienced looking for a Cook to join them at Omeros Bros Seafood Restaurant.The RoleYou will have the opportunity to work at an established business which will develop you professionally and to allow you to hone your skills and techniques even further. You will also have opportunities to progress in the business and play an important role in the continued success of the restaurant.This is a full-time role with an annual salary set at between $75,000 and $85,000 plus superannuation. The role is based in their restaurant at Main Beach in Gold Coast, QLD.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook food according to the Omeros Bros set standards.Season food appropriately during cooking to enhance flavours.Inspect foodstuffs to ensure they meet quality standards.Use, configure, and regulate stoves, ovens, and grills and other cooking equipment temperatures to ensure proper cooking.Portion food, arrange it on plates, and add sauces, gravies, and garnishes for presentation.Store food in temperature-controlled environments to maintain freshness and food safety.Prepare food that meets special dietary needs and requirements.Assist Chefs in planning menus and estimate the quantity of food needed, if required.Train junior cooks, kitchen hands, and apprentice cooks to improve kitchen operations and skills.RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must have:At least a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.At least 5 years of experience working in fine dining restaurants.At least 5 years of experience working with premium and local produce, seafood, and meat; especially local crustaceans.High standard of precision and artistic presentation of dishes.Knowledge of Australian food safety standards and HACCP guidelines.Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen operations.Excellent organisation and communication skills.A team focused attitude with a confident and friendly personality.Be extremely reliable and punctual - flexible to work both mornings and evening or any given day/days of the week. #J-18808-Ljbffr
