We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal assistant to join our Employment team in Sydney on a 12-month fixed-term parental leave contract.Our highly regarded national employment team acts for medium to large national and international employers, advising on contentious and non-contentious employment and industrial relations matters, discrimination, WHS, immigration, and privacy.This role will support partners and lawyers across our Employment team.You will be responsible for:email and calendar management;assisting with client billing;drafting and preparation of correspondence;co-ordination of team expenses;liaising with internal and external stakeholders;compiling briefs;opening and closing of matters including conflict searches;assisting Partners with reporting requirements for their respective teams;assisting other legal assistants as required;other ad-hoc administration duties as required.About youYou will ideally have the following skills and experience:a minimum of three years of experience in a legal assistant role (commercial experience preferred);you will ideally have experience supporting employment law (advisory and litigation) partners and lawyers; however, this is not essential;excellent communication skills;a strong ability to prioritise and meet deadlines;experience with Filesite and Aderant is preferred but not required.About usHall & Wilcox is a leading independent Australian law firm.
